With the recent transformative developments in single-cell genomics, it is now possible to study tissues at the single-cell level, rather than having to rely on data from bulk measurements. In particular, advancement in single-cell epigenomic technologies now enable the mechanistic study of gene regulation at unprecedented resolution. Towards the understanding the epigenetic signatures of single cells, we have recently developed a simple and robust methods to profile chromatin accessibility at the single cell level. It has been demonstrated as a powerful tool to uncover cell identify and cell type specific transcription factor binding events. Together with single cell RNA-seq, these tools can provide multiple layers of genomic information and a better understanding of genome function.

主讲人介绍：

陈曦博士于 2009 年毕业于北京大学医学部医学实验专业，取得学士学位， 之后赴英国曼彻斯特大学生命科学系Prof. Andrew Sharrocks实验室攻读博士学位。博士期间以研究蛋白-DNA 结合特异性以及细胞周期 G2/M 期的调控为主题，发现并且阐明了一个促癌转录因子 FOXM1(Forkhead家族)调控 G2/M 的特殊机制。在完成博士研究之后，于2013年来到欧洲生物信息研究所加入Sarah Teichmann研究组继续深造，进行生物信息以及单细胞测序方面的研发。2016年加入维康桑格研究所(Wellcome Sanger Institute)，成为Teichmann研究组的高级研究员。在此期间，搭建了一整套单细胞测序的平台，并且开发了一种在单细胞水平探索染色质开放状态的方法(scATAC-seq)。欢迎对以上内容感兴趣的科研人员、临床医生、学生到场参加交流！敬请提前15分钟进场。
