Early intervention with a better effect for patients of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease without symptoms
2017-09-071018On September 7, 2017, the research finding which titled “Tiotropium in Early-Stage Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, N Engl J Med. 2017 Sep 7;377(10):923-35.” was published in a long text in the latest issue of the international top academic journal The New England Journal of Medicine, which for the first time proved that it can obviously improve the pulmonary functions of the patients of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease without symptoms by adopting early intervention and long-term medication. Professor Ran Pixin, director of Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Disease and the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease is the corresponding author, and Professor Zhou Yumin and Academician Zhong Nanshan are the first authors.
