The lung cancer research team of the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease and BGI worked together to finish the large-scale sequencing of primary and metastatic lung cancers of Asian patients. The research paper was published on the journal Nature Communications issued on December 9. Professor He Jianxing of the lung cancer research team and research fellow Wang Jun and Professor Qian Pan-Hammarström of BGI are the corresponding authors of the paper.

The research has finished a large-scale sequencing of lung cancer of Asian patients for the first time and provided a comprehensive landscape of mutation for primary and metastatic tumors. The research fruit may lay a foundation for individual-based treatment and has stated the molecular pathogenesis of metastatic lung cancer.
