The team of Zhao Jincun and Zhao Jingxian of the SKLRD worked with Dr. Stanley Perlman of the University of Iowa of the United States and Dr. Abeer N. Alshukairi with the Riyadh King Faisal Special Hospital and Research Center of Saudi Arabia to state for the first time the characteristics of immune response of specific T cell induced after the human body is infected by Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus, MERS-CoV, which has filled the gap in the research field of MERS. The research finding was published online by the sub-journal Science Immunology of the journal Science on August 4, 2017.
